Next Top Chef?...one day

My sister Reisha  (co-creator of R&R's Wrist Candy =) ) loves to cook. Ever since she went to college and had her own apartment she's really come along way. We especially love sharing recipes and cooking together. Even though she can be kind of bossy sometimes ;-)  So I've moved in with my boyfriend recently and have really taken on the full domestication role. Don't get me wrong I was pretty domesticated before the move in being that I am a mother after all lol. But now I really cook a majority of the week and I'm always on Pinterest trying to find new recipes  to switch things up a bit. I make a pasta dish just about every week so this week I thought I'd change it up and make it with chicken.   I started off by frying red and green peppers and onions with butter in a frying pan on medium high. Now I'm no cooking expert so I don't have the measurements or amount of anything I used. lol =) sorry. I'll get better with time  Anyways I chopped up boneless chicken into bit size pieces and added them to the frying pan and continued to  cook until the meat browned and became fully cooked.  While I cooked up the chicken I had my spaghetti sauce going and the penne noodles.  I used  canned sauce by Ragu and added a small can of spaghetti sauce, garlic powder, onion salt, pepper and adobo.  When my mom uses spaghetti sauce from the jar or can she also adds in sugar to sweeten it a bit. I love it that way so I added sugar as well. When every thing was all done I topped my pasta off with parmesan and so be it...dinner was created! And it was delicious =)

Summertime Grind

We'll we're back! Sorry we took so long to update but we have both been very busy these past 2 weeks.  My sister and I now work together not only in creating wrist candies but also at our 8-5 grind. She worked at my company last summer and my supervisor was pleased with her performance and invited her to come back this year in a full time position. I also changed positions at my company so I have been trying to get a grasp of the new working environment and duties. Busy, but thankful. Last weekend my boyfriend and I took a little vacay to Panama City and really had a great time. I needed a little break with all the new happenings around me and so the beach was a great place to relief some stress.  Here are a few shots of my weekend.

Along side from starting her new job, my sister is also working at T.J.Maxx part time to earn more money and save. This has been a pretty busy but successful summer. We still have managed to keep our business up and running and keeping the sales coming. Weekend Recap

Well Hello.. This past holiday weekend turned out to be a total wash out. It rained probably every single day lol. So unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the fireworks or any good bbqs. We did however manage to go shopping and bowling. Of course I beat everyone playing.. Either I’m just better or they weren’t good at all lol. JK ♥ I was “Rabbit” by the way.



  My sister and I did get to go try out a new pizza shop that just opened. Its really hard finding a great pizza shop that is as good as Pizza from up north and Uncle Maddios was pretty good. Definitely will eat there again.

The rest of the weekend was spent doing errands and quality time with Ari =)

Trudging Through Thursday

Happy Thursday!  The best thing about Thursdays is that tomorrow is Friday!

We made it through the short week so that’s good. This past weekend we enjoyed some really nice weather here. My sister and I and a couple of friends went out on Saturday night to a Night Club downtown. It was a good time as always. Here’s an “over the head” pose we took that night.  And a photo from the nightclub.

 

Definitely had to end the night right with none other than Waffle House! Yummmm

 

We had a great sale going on this past weekend too. Hopefully you took advantage of it =) We definitely were busy Tuesday night packing up orders.

Great weather, fun, sales and plenty of relaxation made this long weekend very nice.   This week we’ve been doing a lot of running around with work and errands but we’ve managed to create a few stunning pieces and added them online. So stop by and check them out while they last. =)

Hellos and What's Ups

Hello Friends!
Don't judge me too harshly because I haven't been updating the blog often =(  *lol*  Just a little recap of what we've been up too:
Last weekend the weather was just beautiful here so we made sure to stay out of the house as much as possible. Don't fret though, I still managed to fufill our orders early Saturday afternoon. Gotta do a little business before pleasure sometimes.  Anyways we took Ari to the Zoo for the first time and she loved it. Minus a few diva moments she really enjoyed seeing some of the animals upclose.

 My personal favorites were the Flamingos since they are pink and fabulous♥

This week went by pretty fast. But it usually feels "fast" by the time Thursday finally rolls around. We have been bead and charm shopping and getting new ideas for upcoming Wrist Candy projects. We can't wait to create ♥

My partner/sister will have graduated from school around this time next month so stay tuned for our summer collection. I am so proud of her for getting her degree and I am glad that she will be closer so that we can really put our heads together in the same working environment.

Monday Monday

It's Monday Ya'll 

Well this past weekend Reisha came home to visit and see her little niece (my daughter ..duh) Ari



 and to make bracelets of course. We filled an order that was placed a few days ago and made a few other pieces for the shop.



  I was really excited to get my neon beads in this weeknd so I just had to use them. I also tried my hand at making earrings. I love jewelry period but earrings will always hold a place in my heart. The better I get at making earrings the more that may appear in our shop =)  Hopefully this week goes by pretty fast and is productive as well. Reisha and I and our friends are going to Miami in March so my goal is to kick this little mommy tummy and successfully gain J-Lo abs.......



 lolol... I know but anything could happen right. So that means eating better and exercising. This is going on week 3 of a few routines I've been picking up so in a few weeks I should see a little more improvement. Very challenging but exciting too.  This weekend I also decided that I needed to add another nail polish to my 100+ nail polish collection. I went with Essie's "Play Date"



and really liked how it came out. I will probably wear this in Miami =)  Well here are a few of the creations we came up with this weekend.
